“Before the invention of sliced bread, people used to say that something was the greatest invention since Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris already knew this and got tired of hearing people say this. So Chuck Norris roadhouse kicked every loaf of bread in the world, therein inventing sliced bread to take the burden off his name.”
It is my contention that somewhere between chuck and the bread is the AAA Premier RV motorcycle package from AAA. What, might you ask, is that. If you don’t have AAA skip down if you do compare your card to the sliced bread below…
AAA-card
Pay particularly close attention the the Premier RV/Motorcycle coverage part. If you have it then stop reading and consider yourself a genius, welcome to the club. If not, then prepare to sign up and or go for an upgrade. So what does it offer? Being that I am not on commission for AAA I am not going to go too deep into details other than to say very few people know about this level of coverage, and unless you have broken down in a motorcycle or an RV, you probably never would. Whats great about it is even if you have neither, it offers a free 200 mile tow once a year in addition to other great stuff. Moreover the yearly fee is so small for all the upsides it would be ludicrous not to have it. If you are reading this blog then you have some sort of toy(s) and need it, so just call and sign up, or upgrade. I have used it to tow a car back from Palm springs to my house in OC free of charge. I have used it to tow a totaled street bike from the palms to pines 74, back to my house in OC free of charge and a whole bunch of other cool stuff.
It should be noted that the first time I heard about this was after a concert I attend every year called Coachella. Its in Indio and about a 150 mile drive back to Orange County. It was/is 2 to 3 days of music always ending on Sunday night making for a rough drive back(traffic, work Monday morning, etc) without worrying about who is going to stay sober enough to do it. During one of these discussions I was told of a guy that had the AAA premier package and drove out to the concert with friends. They all were worried about who was going to drive home. He said he would do it and they all proceeded to enjoy the Sunday night show. When they were ready to leave and all were seriously hammered they started grilling him about how he was going to drive home. He just brushed them off and said “I have it all taken care of.” They get to the lot and his X5 is sitting up on a flat bed AAA tow truck ready to go. They all get in, bust out the road sodas, roll down the windows, light up smokes, and laugh their a**’s off bumping music all the way home. After which there is no bill as it was covered by the AAA premier RV motorcycle package
(I should probably note that in CA it is illegal to ride in a vehicle that is being towed but that would ruin my story and I really like that damn story)
